The Genesis of Smart-Agri Africa: A Symphony of Skills, Soil, and Soul
Smart-Agri Africa is the culmination of a unique partnership that spans continents and sectors. We are farmers from Africa, technologists and financiers from America, and software engineers from Europe. United by our love for the African continent and a burning passion to revolutionize its agricultural landscape, we've been on this journey together for a decade.
Over the past 10 years, we've invested in and managed a range of farming operations across Africa. From cattle breeding and trading to input supply chains for chemicals, fertilizers and seeds, we've done it mostly, if not all. Our team has been deeply involved in emerging farmer programs, collaborating with local banks, agricultural stakeholders, and regulatory agencies. Collectively, we've invested in and operated over 20,000 hectares in more than 15 crops ranging from ground nuts, citrus, potatoes, onions and maize.
Our journey hasn't been without its bumps. but they became . The “lessons learned” have become our greatest teachers, fuelling our desire to meet the colossal challenge of feeding our people sustainably and responsibly.
